LOUISE MURRAY FROM TRIBES OF: BARKINDJI,
NARI NARI & JITA JITA.
My Name is Louise Murray and I come from Balranald NSW. I have lived in Balranald most of my life and attended Balranald Central School.
My father was born here in Balranald, he is from the tribes Nari Nari & Jita Jita. My mother is from the tribe Barkindji.
From time to time I moved with my parents, but I always ended up moving back home.
As far as I can remember I have always loved anything to do with painting or any sort of art. I have been painting Aboriginal Paintings for over 15 years
When I get an idea in my head I draw it then try and put it to canvas with a story. I would paint all day if I could.
I am a very busy mum of 4 beautiful children who I love very much, I love when they sit and watch me paint and learn from what I do. Hopefully one day they can show their culture by painting too.
I want to teach my children everything about aboriginal culture.
I am proud to be who I am and what I can do. Maybe one day my artwork will be sold Australia wide.
